About the Greater Washington Partnership and the Blueprint for Regional Mobility
The Greater Washington Partnership was founded in 2017 and brings together civic-minded business leaders who share a commitment to the future of the super region which includes the areas around Richmond, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland. These leaders recognize that they have a responsibility to their companies, employees, and communities to invest in solutions that drive growth and create economic opportunity. The Partnership has four initiatives to unify the region and advance growth: regional mobility, skills and talent, global identity and reach, and innovation.Under its Regional Mobility Initiative, the Partnership seeks to advance transportation solutions that strengthen regional mobility and improve quality of life. To acheive this goal, a regional, employer-led blueprint for regional mobility will be launched and focuses on four priorities:
- Connect the super-region with fast and reliable transportation options.
- Improve the consumer experience with a modern and well-coordinated network of transportation options.
- Ensure equitable access through affordable and diverse transportation options.
- Integrate innovation by encouraging and adopting mobility innovations across the region.
